2018 MCC Service Reflection

This summer has been one of highs and lows, but overall, I greatly enjoyed my time working in the Breaks alongside my fellow MCC interns as well as the BLM in Fort Benton. Accomplishments have ranged from watering well over 1000 trees in total, surveying hundreds of miles within the monument in search of invasive noxious weeds, and working on sections of fence at Little Sandy campground. I was grateful for the opportunity to work in the conservation field alongside 4 other highly passionate and engaging MCC interns, and the relationships I formed with the staff at the BLM will last a lifetime. After completing one more year of college, I plan on traveling out west and continuing my work in the field of environmental stewardship.
